*SynerWorlds preserves Ô Ăn Quan, Cờ Gánh, Cờ Nhào, Cá Ngựa and Cờ Chiếu Tướng online, rules explained, playable against the computer or with family anywhere in the world.*

For millions of Vietnamese families living abroad, the board games of childhood, played on tiled floors, in schoolyards and around courtyard tables, have been almost impossible to find online. SynerWorlds (https://synerworlds.com), the free browser-gaming hub from SynerWork Inc., has set out to change that: its Vietnamese folk collection brings five traditional games back within one click, free, with no download and no account required to start.

The collection, introduced at https://synerworlds.com/o-an-quan, includes:

  • Ô Ăn Quan (Mandarin Square Capturing), the beloved seed-sowing game of 12 squares and two mandarin squares, where every sowing move is a small arithmetic puzzle and captures chain from one empty square to the next.
  • Cờ Gánh, a fast, tactical game on a 5×5 board, played with eight discs a side, where surrounding your opponent's discs flips them to your colour.
  • Cờ Nhào and Cá Ngựa, folk favourites passed down through generations of Vietnamese families.
  • Cờ Chiếu Tướng (Vietnamese General Check), a distinctive Vietnamese chess variant built around checking the general, with roots in a living local playing community.

Playable the way families actually play

Each game is fully playable in the browser: against a 12-level computer opponent, or in a private online room, open a room, share the link, and grandparents in Vietnam can play a game with grandchildren on another continent, with voice chat built into the room. Every game page explains the rules in full for new players, and the folk collection sits alongside dedicated guide pages for each game on the hub.

The games are available in 26 languages, including Vietnamese and English, so mixed-language families can each play in their own language under one shared account.

Built for families, not for wallets

Every game on SynerWorlds is completely free. There are no ads, no in-game purchases and no gambling mechanics. Alongside the folk collection, the hub offers international classics, Chess, Xiangqi (Chinese chess), Go, Reversi, Checkers, Gomoku, Sudoku, Nonogram, Cross Words and Word Search, plus traditional games from neighbouring cultures, such as Thailand's Mak Khom.

"These games survived for generations because families kept teaching them," the SynerWorlds team said. "We built SynerWorlds so that distance doesn't end that chain, a child growing up far from Vietnam can still learn Ô Ăn Quan the way their parents did, one shared game at a time."
