Ukrainian Soldier Launches Personal Story Website to Share the Human Cost of War

Other One Day of a Soldier (personal website)

A Ukrainian serviceman has launched an English-language personal website sharing firsthand reflections on the human cost of the war with Russia.

A Ukrainian serviceman has launched an English-language personal website to share firsthand reflections on the human consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine and to encourage international readers not to forget those living through it.

Petro Voloshynovskyi, who has served in Ukraine's armed forces since 2020, created One Day of a Soldier to tell his story in his own words, accompanied by personal photographs and articles about the experiences, sacrifices and hopes of Ukrainians affected by the war.

"Behind every uniform is a person with a life, a family and a future they still hope to see," says Petro. "I want readers outside Ukraine to see the human side of this war and understand why their solidarity matters."

The website is available to readers internationally at https://petro05011980.com/ . Readers can explore Petro's firsthand writing and share the site with others who may wish to learn more.

This announcement is a personal initiative by Petro Voloshynovskyi, not an official statement or fundraising request on behalf of a military unit.

Publishing here puts a release online at a permanent address. It does not send it to journalists. Paid distribution through PR Wire sends it into the newsroom systems of UK regional titles, from £395 plus VAT. Nobody can promise coverage and we will not: whether an editor runs it depends on the story.
