Türkiye field benchmark finds leadership systems lag behind team development

Business Alben Akademi

Alben Akademi's 2026 field benchmark finds leadership development lags behind team/collaboration development in Turkish organisations, 2021-2026.

Istanbul, Türkiye, Alben Akademi has published "Corporate Development and Behavioral Change in Türkiye: 2026 Field Benchmark and Applied Research Report," an open-access field study examining corporate development, leadership and behavioural change across the 2021-2026 period.

Authored by Serkan Alben and Sercan Alben, the study draws on 193 qualitative documents, 396 unique structured assessments and 312 anonymous participant records.

One of the report's central findings is that team and collaboration development can outpace leadership conditions. Across 216 paired evaluations, the average team/collaboration score was 0.77 points higher than the leadership score. Among 150 records with team scores of 4-5, 86 (57.3%) had leadership scores of 3 or lower.

The report also includes a matched longitudinal subset of 63 participants. Within this group, 49 participants improved, 10 declined and 4 remained unchanged, with a pooled mean within-person movement of +0.27.

The authors stress that these results are observational field patterns and should not be interpreted as causal programme effects or as a nationally representative sample.

According to the study, the recurring institutional challenge is often not whether people can learn, but whether leadership and system conditions develop quickly enough to support the transfer of learning into observable behaviour.

The research covers communication, leadership, crisis and conflict management, feedback, delegation, organisational belonging, customer experience, managerial capability, teamwork and recruitment.

The study is openly accessible and permanently archived with a DOI.
