Postponement of the PASSAGES Exhibition

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, together with co-scenographers Thierry Lemaire and Harry Nuriev, announces the postponement of the PASSAGES exhibition, originally scheduled to take place at the Quai d'Orsay from 20 to 23 October 2026, on the occasion of Art Basel Paris.

The Quai d'Orsay and the co-organisers of this unprecedented exhibition, developed in partnership with the Manufactures nationales - Sèvres & Mobilier national, the National Centre for Visual Arts (Cnap) and the Institut français, wish to express their sincere gratitude to all stakeholders and partners for their commitment over the past several months, as well as to all participating artists, lenders, service providers and patrons. Discussions are currently under way with partners to determine a new date for the exhibition.

This initiative forms part of the strategies pursued by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture to promote the visual arts. In particular, it will showcase works by artists who have been selected for several of the 80 artist residency programmes operated by France's diplomatic network around the world.

As part of this initiative, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will soon establish a new dedicated fund enabling third-party contributions to support cultural and diplomatic events at the Quai d'Orsay.

This new mechanism will make it possible to receive donations and thereby support ambitious projects aligned with our priorities, without any impact on public accounts.
