Owl and Jest Releases Funny Gag Gift Book Aimed at Secret Santa Shoppers

Secret Santa has become a fixture of the British workplace in the run-up to Christmas, with colleagues each buying a gift for a randomly assigned coworker within a modest spending limit. Owl and Jest expects most sales to come between November and Christmas, driven by office Christmas parties, Secret Santa exchanges, and stocking fillers. Beyond the festive period, the publisher anticipates demand around April Fools' Day and from stag parties, as well as steady sales as a novelty and birthday gift throughout the year.

Wright noted that the book's humour will not suit every workplace. "It's meant to be fun, and most people will take it in that spirit," she said. "But every office is different, so we'd encourage buyers to think about the recipient and the workplace before choosing it for Secret Santa. Nobody wants their gift to turn into a conversation with HR."
