Lali Space presents book gifting and reader wish lists

Lali Space, a Russian-language literary project and online bookshop, presents a gifting service that brings together personal book gifts, gifts for other readers and public reading wish lists.

The service's "Give a Book" page has separate feeds for available gifts and reader requests. Visitors can choose an available title, leave a wish or fulfil another reader's request. Accepting a gift requires a Lali Space account and depends on the availability and conditions of the individual offer.

The public gift feed covers ebooks and audiobooks. Printed editions can be given to a named recipient with delivery arranged at checkout; delivery is priced separately. Prices and available formats are shown on each book's page. The service does not mean that every book is available free of charge.

Alongside its shop, Lali Space offers a free library and personal digital bookshelves. Book pages introduce the author, the work and available formats, and provide space for reader reviews.

The project's development directions include cinematic and interactive books, combining text, images, voice and reader participation. These are development directions rather than a claim that every planned format is already available.

The publishing project was conceived by writer Igor Anikanov. Its book-gifting features are intended to make it easier for readers to share a book with someone close to them, or with another person who would like to read it.
