Flight Club Announces December Opening Date for 17th UK Venue in Exeter

The two-floor, 300-capacity venue takes the former Revolution site on Queen Street and opens on Friday 11th December, ahead of peak festive trading

LONDON, UK, 13 October 2026 - Flight Club, the Social Darts® and cocktail bar, will open its 17th UK venue in Exeter on Friday 11th December 2026. Owned and operated by Red Engine, the hospitality group behind Flight Club and Electric Shuffle, it will occupy the former Revolution site at 79-82 Queen Street, a one-minute walk from Exeter Central station.

The venue spans two floors with capacity for 300 guests and ten oches (semi-private playing areas). The project will create 50 jobs locally.

Exeter continues Flight Club's expansion into regional towns and cities across the UK, following recent openings in Oxford, Newcastle and Reading. Timing the launch for December positions the venue for Christmas party and festive group bookings from its first week of trading.

Ahead of the public opening, a three-day soft launch from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 December will give locals who register in advance free Social Darts and 25% off food and drink, building a local customer base before the doors open fully.

A return to Devon

The opening carries particular significance for the business. In 2012, co-founders Steve Moore and Paul Barham were in a Devon pub when they watched a young crowd gathered around a game of darts. That moment led to Flight Club, which launched in London's Shoreditch in 2015 and now operates across the UK, US, Australia and Ireland.

The format

Flight Club combines its Social Darts concept with a full cocktail and sharing-food offer. In-house camera vision technology tracks every dart, scores automatically and plays live-action replays on screen across seven multiplayer games. Food and drink are served directly to each oche, so groups order without leaving the game.

The venue trades across the day and week, from after-work drinks and corporate socials to weekend bottomless brunch (two hours, including 60 minutes of Social Darts, a bottle of prosecco per person and unlimited pizza, from £33 per person) and late-night DJ sets.

Like every Flight Club, the Exeter venue is designed in-house, combining the look of a Victorian fairground with the warmth of a traditional British pub.

Steve Moore, CEO and co-founder of Red Engine, said: "Exeter has been on our list for a while. It's got a big student population, a strong after-work crowd and a wider Devon catchment that comes into the city for a night out, and Queen Street puts us right in the middle of all of it, a minute from the station. It's also where the whole thing started. Paul and I had the idea for Flight Club in a Devon pub back in 2012, so bringing the brand home is a full-circle moment for the team. Opening in December means we'll be ready for Christmas parties from day one and we can't wait to start celebrating."
