Digital Room Service launches free Hotel Staff Savings Calculator for hoteliers

Digital Room Service, a hotel guest service and operations platform, has launched a free Hotel Staff Savings Calculator to help hoteliers estimate how much staff time goes into coordinating guest requests.

Behind every request for towels, housekeeping or room service sits a chain of coordination: finding an available team member, passing on instructions, waiting for acknowledgement and following up. The calculator lets a hotel enter its daily request volume, the coordination time it could avoid and its average hourly labour cost, and returns an estimate of staff hours and labour capacity that could be released each year. Results are illustrative estimates for planning, not guaranteed savings.

The calculator sits alongside the platform's AI Autopilot, which offers each task to suitable on-shift staff based on workload, follows up on delayed requests and escalates when needed, while managers keep full control and can override at any time. Digital Room Service also includes digital guest requests from any phone with no app download, a kitchen display system for room service, automatic room billing and QR staff attendance.

"Hotels often measure how long a task takes, but not the time spent organising it," said Kirti Dixit Ojha, Co-founder of Digital Room Service. "The calculator gives smaller and independent hotels a simple way to put a number on that coordination effort before deciding what to automate."

The Hotel Staff Savings Calculator is free to use at https://digitalroomservice.com/hotel-staff-savings-calculator/. Digital Room Service offers a 30-day free trial, with plans from $149 per year for hotels from 10 to 150+ rooms.
