Comms With AI has relaunched its free AI resource library for comms teams, with content now organised around visitors' starting points and a new interactive governance toolkit.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Edinburgh, 22 October 2026
Comms With AI rebuilt around where each communications team starts, as its governance toolkit becomes a working page
Comms With AI (commswith.ai), the free library of AI templates, tools and resources for communications teams, has relaunched with every part of the site built around the visitor's own starting point.
The rebuild, live from today, follows one principle: start where you are. A communications lead new to AI, one using it every day, and one who already has a policy that is out of date now each find a different first step.
What has changed
- Learn asks first. The Learn section opens with one question, "Where are you with AI?", and routes a reader to a plain-English beginners' guide, the weekly Comms With AI Briefing, or expert help. It adds a searchable glossary and "How AI fits a comms week", a five-day view of where AI belongs in a communications team's week and where it does not.
- The library opens on starter templates. A first visit shows the four templates teams reach for first. "Build your week" picks three templates for the job in hand. The library's five-phase framework is now a colour-coded map that filters the shelf, and every template has a "Quick look" with the prompt to copy.
- The free tools run as one journey. The AI Readiness Scorecard, Foundations, Plan and Message Test now read as step 1 of 4 to step 4 of 4, and each hands the user to the next with what they have already entered.
- The Leadership AI Governance Toolkit is a working page. Previously a PDF, the toolkit now opens with a readiness check: twelve statements across four controls (disclosure, accountability, risk and IP, capability). Ticking what is true today names the control with the most gaps as the priority for the fortnight. A work email unlocks the full toolkit on screen, with every checklist tickable and a board-ready one-pager that fills in on the page and copies out as text. The PDF remains included. Nothing ticked or typed leaves the user's browser.
- One page for paid help. "Help for your team" sets out four routes (Consult, Deploy, Training and Manage) from four situations a comms lead will recognise, with booking and a short enquiry form on the page.
Michael MacLennan, founder of Comms With AI, said: "Most AI resources for communications teams assume a single starting point, and comms teams have never had one. The site now begins from the team's situation rather than from a menu. The toolkit is the part I am proudest of: a comms lead can find out in twenty minutes which control to fix first, and leave with a one-pager for the board, without anyone selling them anything."
Every resource on the site is free. Comms With AI won Gold for Best Innovation in AI Tools for Communications at the inaugural AI Comms Awards in June 2026, where MacLennan was named AI Communications Leader of the Year (Agency).
