Black Label Tech publishes free AI study walkthrough with source-checking exercises
Black Label Tech has released a free, openly licensed study guide teaching learners to use AI assistants while checking answers against source material.

The open guide pairs a worked example with prompts that ask learners to attempt, check and retry answers.
Black Label Tech has published a free, openly licensed study walkthrough that shows learners how to use an AI assistant while checking its answers against their own course material. The guide, Your first study session: answer, check, try again, is available in the company's public ai-study-prompts repository.
The walkthrough begins with fictional notes about average speed. Learners copy the notes and a prompt into an assistant of their choice, attempt one question at a time, and compare the feedback with the supplied source. A worked example asks for the average speed of a cyclist travelling 1,800 metres in six minutes. The answer explains the conversion to seconds and why an average does not describe every moment of a journey.
The next exercise changes the journey time and asks learners to predict the effect before calculating again. A simple review table records the first attempt, the source check and the next question to practise. The prompt asks the assistant to identify gaps in the supplied material rather than invent a citation.
The exercise can be read without a Black Label account, installation or upload. It is designed to work in an AI assistant the reader already uses. The guide also links to subject-specific study material and an optional study-coach skill. It is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
The guide advises readers to follow their course's approved sources and keep patient, client and student information out of practice material. It presents AI feedback as a practice aid, with learners responsible for checking the underlying explanation.
Black Label also develops Ace, an AI assistant for study and everyday computer work. Ace's website includes recorded demonstrations of study notes, writing help and explanations of on-screen material, alongside current download and access options. The company's separate Project Utah product provides a cybersecurity AI workspace, terminal and API for code, logs and research evidence. Hosted security testing requires verified target ownership.
