Anum Farooq Reveals the Hidden Architecture of Life in New NFT Art Collection
Artist Anum Farooq launches an NFT collection translating cellular and molecular structures into digital art inspired by biochemistry and sensory perception.

Biochemistry, sensory perception and digital art meet in an ethereal exploration of the worlds within us.
United Kingdom, 20 October 2026: Artist Anum Farooq presents a collection of digital artworks available as NFTs, transforming the intricate structures of cells, proteins and molecules into luminous, almost monochromatic landscapes.
Drawing on her background in biochemistry and her sensory perspective as an autistic artist, Farooq explores the relationship between form and function. Translucent membranes, folded proteins and delicate cellular networks emerge through pearl, silver-grey and muted mauve, inviting viewers to pause over structures ordinarily beyond unaided sight.
"As an artist, I observe the relationship between form and function, finding beauty in the intricate folds that allow proteins to sustain life," says Farooq.
The collection moves between scientific inspiration and poetic interpretation. In 'A Thousand Small Doors', a cell membrane becomes a landscape of gateways. 'Unwritten' imagines chromatin within a luminous nucleus, while 'A Language of Folds' explores the sculptural possibilities of protein structure.
Recent works extend this inquiry into energy, renewal and connection. 'The Energy Between' draws on ATP synthase, the molecular motor involved in producing the ATP that powers cellular processes. In 'Autophagy', through which cells break down and recycle their components. 'Held by Water' considers the fleeting hydrogen bonds between water molecules.
Across the collection, biological processes become starting points for reflections on belonging, resilience and transformation.
Guided by Farooq's scientific interests and artistic direction, the works are imaginative interpretations rather than instructional scientific illustrations. Their restrained palette and layered translucency establish a visual language that connects molecular detail with intimate human experience.
The collection is now live. Artworks and collecting information are available at www.anumfarooq.com/nft
