After Summer Power Cuts, Bunkerise Shares a Free Household Plan for Maltese Homes
Household readiness company Bunkerise offers a free 72-hour checklist and workbook to Maltese homes following summer power cuts.

VANCOUVER, B.C., October 29, 2026. Power cuts hit several localities in Malta during the July and August heatwaves, and in September the government announced one time ex gratia payments for households whose outages totalled six hours or more, as reported by The Malta Independent. In October the government said it had invested to strengthen electricity supply for about 33,000 households and businesses.
Bunkerise, a household readiness company, is sharing its free checklist and workbook with households in Malta, with attention to light, phone power, keeping medicines cool and checking on elderly neighbours during an outage.
Bunkerise starts with a plan rather than a shopping list. Its free 72-Hour Checklist sets out quantities per person, the water math and a last 60 seconds grab list. The 72-Hour Household Plan workbook turns that into meeting points, an out of area contact, utility shutoffs, medication, children, pets and wallet cards for everyone in the home. Both are written to be read in an evening and acted on in a weekend.
Bunkerise guides are educational and are designed as a bridge to official guidance, not a replacement for it. In an emergency, instructions from local authorities come first.
"This summer's power cuts showed how much daily life depends on electricity. A torch, charged phones and a plan for keeping medicine cool make a long outage much easier to manage," said Kathy Bunkerise, spokesperson for Bunkerise.
