A queer planet in 275 tracks: Spanish artist Mike Sain't Louis makes his GAYFOLK trilogy free to download

MADRID, Spain, October 23, 2026. Some artists release albums; Mike Sain't Louis built a planet. His GAYFOLK project, made in Madrid, is a trilogy of three albums, "Descubierto un nuevo planeta llamado GAYFOLK" (90 tracks), "Ojalá se pudiera viajar a GAYFOLK" (86) and "El día de la liberación" (99), that together tell the story of an imaginary queer world: its discovery, the longing to get there and, finally, liberation.

Free to download

All 275 tracks can be downloaded free and without registration from the project's site, gayfolkplanet.com, which now includes a guide to the listening order. Every song also has its own official music video on YouTube, 276 in total.

Camp, copla and survival

The sound blends alternative pop, electropop, Spanish copla and camp, drawing on a lineage the site traces from Almodóvar to the drag queens of village fiestas. Beneath the glitter, many lyrics deal with controlling relationships, homophobia and mental health. Their author, the Madrid lyricist and producer behind the whole project, has spoken publicly about depression and anxiety and about how therapy is helping him.
