What can honestly be guaranteed
Publication on a named list. A wire can promise that your release will appear on specific, named outlets, because that is a mechanical feed the service controls. If the list is named and the service will show you live URLs from a recent release, the guarantee is real and testable.
Our paid wire works this way. A recent release was delivered into 66 regional titles, among them the Scotsman, the Yorkshire Post, the Star, Portsmouth News and the Falkirk Herald. Those are checkable pages, not impressions.
What cannot be guaranteed by anyone
Coverage. A journalist reading your announcement and choosing to write about it is an editorial decision. No distributor has any control over it, and a service promising it is either misdescribing syndication or misleading you.
Rankings and AI citations. Whether a page ranks, or gets cited in an AI answer, is decided by systems nobody selling press releases operates. A wire page can help, because it is independent and dated. It cannot be promised.
Removal from the internet. Once a release is syndicated it is on other people's servers. We can remove ours. Nobody can promise to remove theirs.
The test to apply
Ask any provider to name the outlets and show you live links from a release they sent last month. A guarantee that survives that question is a real one. A guarantee that dissolves into "reach", "impressions" or "potential audience" was never a guarantee.
What we guarantee
- Free publishing: if we accept your release, it gets a permanent public page and stays there. If we decline it, we tell you why.
- Paid distribution: the named route, with live URLs sent to you on delivery.
- No coverage promise, from either. If we do not think your story will land, we will say so before you pay rather than after.
