Brian Pasch Hosts VIP Fundraising Event Featuring Winemaker Sparky Marquis

New Jersey wine writer Brian Pasch and Australian wine maker Sparky Marquis hold VIP fundraising event  to benefit cancer support servcies in Central Jersey.

The 2007 vintage of Mollydooker wines will be one of the highlights at The Wellness Community- The Diney Goldsmith Center (http://www.thewellnesscommunity.org/jerseyshore) fundraiser to be held on Saturday August 23, 2008. The Aussie themed barbeque will feature Mollydooker wines from the 2007 vintage; the first time consumers in New Jersey will see the wines in the state.  The Australian winemaker’s portfolio of wines includes “Velvet Glove”, a premium Shiraz which received 99 points from wine critic Robert Parker for the 2006 vintage.

Monmouth County wine writer Brian Pasch will be hosting the fundraising event at his home with catering provided by Merrimakers Catering (http://www.merrimakerscatering.com), deluxe restroom facilities provided by Mr. John, (http://www.mrjohn.com) and music provided by Jersey Shore Reef Band.
The Wellness Community, founded in 1982, is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally-led support groups, educational workshops, nutrition and exercise programs, and stress-reduction classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease. The Wellness Community – The Diney Goldsmith Center opened, opened in May of 2007, and is located on Hope Road in Eatotown, New Jersey.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person with only a few tickets left to be sold.  Tickets sales for the event will end on August 21, 2008.  Consumers interested in purchasing tickets by August 20th should contact Ilene Winters at 732-578-9200 immediately.  Additional details including online ticket processing can be found on Brian Pasch’s website at http://www.brianpasch.com .  Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Sparky and Sarah Marquis, the husband and wife winemaking team behind Mollydooker Winery, have long supported the consumers in New Jersey who love their wines.  This event marks the third year in a row that Mollydooker Winery has supported local charities by co-hosting a VIP wine tasting event with Brian Pasch.  This year, Sparky Marquis will be flying in from Australia to introduce the 2007 wines to New Jersey wine enthusiasts.

The 2007 vintage will be on retailer shelves by September 1st and the wines have already received high marks from the wine press that have tasted the 2007 wines.  Consumers should be aware that Mollydooker wines can also be purchased online at http://www.mollydookerwines.com.  Wine orders are shipped from their US based warehouses which ensures that the wine is delivered promptly and safely to consumers in States that allow direct shipping.
