PEPY Cyclists Gear Up For First Ever ‘Voluntour’ In Nepal this November

PEPY Ride will be going to Nepal for their first ‘volontour’ located there this November.  This non-profit group just recently got a logo design from LogoBee and will be showing it off there.

Attention all adventure seekers and good Samaritans!  PEPY Ride will be offering a brand new ‘volontour’ in Nepal during November 12-24.  The funds raised from this event will be used to support a nation-wide bi-annual writing contest in Nepal.  This will be the first PEPY trip ever to take place outside of Cambodia.

Once again PEPY has successfully combined travel with the development of educational resources to make a ‘volontour’.  People can travel and experience different cultures around the world while giving back to the people and places they encounter.  These hands-on methods of giving back have become more popular in recent years with all of the press surrounding the charitable actions of celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey. Both the National Geographic Adventure Magazine and MSNBC have covered the growing popularity of ‘volontourism’.

The Nepal trip is not the only new development for PEPY; earlier this year they were delighted to be chosen as one of the winners of LogoBee’s annual logo design Makeover Project.  PEPY’s new logo captures the two elements that they combine: tourism and volunteer work.  The cycling image represents the exciting travel that takes place and the open book alludes to the valuable contributions that are made to education in these areas.
