Steppes Travel announces new Autumn Lecture Series.
Steppes Travel (http://www.steppestravel.co.uk) has announced its new Autumn lecture series. (http://www.steppestravel.co.uk/steppes-lectures-page1728.aspx).
There will be a series of four lectures. The first lecture, on October 9th, covers two areas: "The Great Namibian Journey" by Chris Bakkes and "The Southern Africa Landscape" by Mike Myers.
Chris Bakkies Chris will give a brief historical and geographical overview of Namibia, illustrate why Namibia is such an attractive destination at the moment and yet caution of the possible dangers of over development in the tourism industry, the impact on a fragile desert environment and the importance of effective sustainable conservation.
The second lecture, on October 23rd, is entitled: “Guizhou Province – China’s Best Kept Secret” and features Gina Corrigan. Gina has been organising special interest tours to China for the past 30 years.
Nick Middleton’s lecture on November 27th is entitled, “Travel Along the Silk Road”.
The final lecture of the series, “Wot! No Red Flag or Umbrella?” is on December 11th. The lecture features Sheila Paine and she will be recounting her travels as a tour leader for Steppes Travel in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Morocco and Finland.

All lectures start at 7:30pm at Boutflour Hall, Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 6JS. There will be drinks and a chance to meet some of the Steppes Travel team beforehand.
