For the first time, taxes, fees and charges will all be included in Airmiles fares on flights with British Airways and many more scheduled airlines. From Tuesday 18 December 2007, with the new Airmiles fares, flights will be completely free when using Airmiles and customers won’t pay a penny on top. Independent research conducted by YouGov reflects AIRMILES’ customer feedback, revealing many consumers find loyalty schemes confusing, with just a quarter (22%) believing they offer good value due to hidden costs and extra charges. The new Airmiles fares represent strong value for customers. For example, a return flight to Prague* is currently 1,200 Airmiles with £61.90 extra for taxes, fees and charges. With the new all-inclusive fares, a return flight to Prague is 1,500 Airmiles with absolutely nothing to pay on top.
