Carpinteria Named California’s “Best Small Town Vacation Spot”

CARPINTERIA, California (July 9, 2008) – The small California beach town of Carpinteria has been named the state’s “Best Small Town Vacation Spot” in the California Planning & Development Report.

“They may have just recently discovered this fact,” said Alice Otis, a board member of Carpinteria Shores Vacation Rentals, “but we who have lived in Carpinteria have known this secret for many, many years.”

Carpinteria Shores Vacation Rentals, one of the very few privately-owned  Vacation Rentals in Carpinteria, stands to benefit significantly from the published report.

CP&DR Publisher Bill Fulton offered that Carpinteria won out due to downtown’s close proximity to the ocean front as well as the ease of bicycling or walking as a means of getting around town, between shopping and the beach.

The process, according to Fulton, “was pretty qualitative and intuitive.”  He added that planners were impressed that downtown connects to the sand and that vacationing in Carpinteria is possible without a car.  “There aren’t many other places where you can do that, “said Fulton.

“Carpinteria is already a popular destination for those seeking Carpinteria Vacation Rentals ,” said Otis.  “We’re typically booked a year in advance.”

Carpinteria Shores Vacation Rentals affords its guests privacy and remarkable views of the Pacific Ocean from a private patio or balcony.  Carpinteria Shores offers a range or prices for their individually owned and decorated vacation rentals which comfortably sleep up to six guests.
