CEVA Logistics renews supply chain partnership with Nestlé in Italy
21 December 2006 – CEVA Logistics has consolidated its position in the FMCG sector in Italy by signing a contract renewal with Nestlé.
Distribution logistics managed by CEVA includes the collection of products from Nestlé’s distribution centres at Albairate (MI), San Sepolcro (AR) and San Sisto (PG) and their subsequent distribution and delivery to more than 60,000 sales points in Italy.
The distribution takes place through direct deliveries to end sales points or by using 13 transit point platforms that belong to the CEVA network. These transit platforms are fitted with controlled-temperature cells, with a total of 12,000m2 of available indoor surface area.
CEVA also provides a series of high added-value services, including an advanced return information management system that enables Nestlé to invoice according to the delivery date.
