In the US, EGL has revealed that it has authorised its financial advisor to solicit interest from third parties for the sale of the Company. Also in the UK, Wincanton continues to expand in the construction sector, with news of a new contract with Brett Landscaping and Building Products to manage national distribution for the building materials specialist.

Elsewhere, DC developments this week focus on the retail sector in the US, UK and Eastern Europe, whilst economic forecasts reveal that GDP growth in Europe is set to continue at a relatively brisk pace, though moderating to 2.4% in the euro area and 2.7% in the EU.
