Leading VoIP service provider, iCallGlobe, is coming up with the telecom based social networking community providing customers with a cost-effective means to communicate. iCallGlobe, a UK-based company of global telephony services is part of the Rupiz Infotech conglomerate. iCallGlobe is coming up with a telecom based social networking community. While the name of the website hasn’t officially been announced, there is quite a bit of excitement in the boardroom of the organization. In the words of Rupinder Khurana, Co-founder and Director of Rupiz Infotech, “We are set to change the way the world communicates. With 20% of the world population hooked on to the net, it is clear that IP communication is the way to go”. Providing customers with a cost-effective means to communicate is the major goal of this organization. This IP application, interspersed with various entertainment options, includes a basic browser which provides registered users with a cost-effective alternative for communicating with their peers. Sudhi Menon, Co-founder and Business Head for the telecom division at Rupiz Infotech, was quoted as saying “The VoIP industry has tremendous potential. With individual service providers alone having a user base close to 280 million, it is quite evident that people have realized the advantages of communicating over the internet.” Over the issue regarding the call charges, Mr. Menon revealed that PC-to-PC calling would be completely free and the PC-to-Phone feature would have separate slabs for different regions.
