Javna, the leading Arab company in electronic and wireless applications, has created a new technology to help telecom companies, banks, private and public establishments and specialized software firms to build solutions to automate their Offline Mobile Solutions (OMS).
Without the need for complicated programming, companies and establishments can build their own electronic applications compatible with cell phone operating systems. The process only requires the user to run the system then open a new window to set the features of the applications in order, starting with function, overall look, language, colors and security level ..etc. Then the application is tested to make sure it is functional before it is converted into a setup file.
Commenting on the new innovation, Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour said: "This system is a real revolution in the wireless applications industry. It will definitely change the way telecom companies provide their SMS-based services. Users of this system are only required to apply figures and codes then follow certain steps to activate the service in question, be it balance enquiry, breaking news subscription or any of the banking services that are now invading the mobile world."
Mansour added: "With so many codes and figures, it has become difficult for users to remember any. This prompted us to work out technical alternatives to help companies enhance their mobile services, sparing them the confusing maze of codes and numbers."
For his part, Director of Business Development at Javna Sami Tuffaha attributed the low demand on telecom companies' services in general to the negative aspects inherent in the provision of services and subsequent complications. He said: "International studies and specialized reports show declining revenues of telecom companies from added-value services, in light of the large size of these companies' investments to acquire and promote such services in the different media outlets. But subscribers would soon abandon these services, which are shelved along with other inactive services.
Javna's new applications, which are built on the new J2ME system, are conveniently editable and upgradeable. They can also be modified in no time without any additional cost, unlike traditional software that is costly or unfeasible to upgrade.
