Coral Racing Chooses Sennheiser From Corporate Direct (Europe)

Specialist UK based distributor of headsets Corporate Direct (Europe), are pleased to announce it has recently rolled out over 250 Sennheiser SH330 headsets in Coral Racing’s telephone betting call centre in Barking.

Most call centres deal with high call rates, but in the world of telephone betting there are unique patterns to be handled. Callers will often wait until the last few minutes before a race or event before making their call. This results in massive surges just before major events, which needs to be handled both in terms of available operators with fast systems and also crystal clear communications. Speed of service in these last few minutes is as important to the caller as the odds offered and their choice of company is often dependant on the service given. Coral are only to aware of this need and their exceptional service is reflected in the growth of their telephone betting call centre, which has expanded significantly over the past 3 years.

Paul Baxter, General Manager, Corporate Direct (Europe), said : “we worked with Coral Racing to assist them in finding the right solution to satisfy their business requirement, by a process of consultation and product evaluation. The Sennheiser SH 330 came out on top because of its robust build quality and durability, comfort and built-in protection from acoustic shock. This solution was also significantly better when it came to the noise-cancelling microphone, which is very important to us as ambient sound levels rise at times of peak call rates but we need to retain accuracy and speed of communication”. He concluded, “in telephone betting the staff are highly trained and an important company asset. It’s important to us that they have the best tools to operate with and I’m satisfied that we’ve made the best choice in Sennheiser”.
