VIALTUS LAUNCHES REMOTE MANNED GUARD TO HELP PROTECT PREMISES
Written by James Marples
Friday, 18 April 2008
  • Demonstration of Remote Manned Guard at Multimodal, 22-24 April, NEC Birmingham in Hall 10
  • Honda Racing F1 Car and Driving Simulator - Vialtus Solutions - Stand 205
  •

Vialtus Solutions offers visitors to Multimodal 2008 the chance to see how to deploy robust, affordable, IP-based out of hours security for vulnerable premises. Remote Manned Guard from Vialtus uses the most advanced networked digital surveillance technology to help prevent crime, with 24/7/365 live image monitoring and response team or Police deployment as appropriate.

Evidence shows that there is a reduction in crimes committed and an increase in convictions where CCTV cameras are installed. Vialtus Remote Manned Guard offers a fully managed IP CCTV surveillance service with trained operators watching over the protected premises from a highly secure National Monitoring Centre. This gives organisations a cost effective alternative to employing on-site security guards or investing in complex and costly analogue CCTV systems.

Vialtus Remote Manned Guard uses a combination of CCTV cameras, Passive Infra-Red (PIR) motion detectors and Public Address (PA) speakers, to detect and challenge intruders as soon as they enter the protected zone.
Remote Manned Guard equipment can offer instant alerts and incident recording to provide valuable evidence to support a conviction. Remote Manned Guard security system technology can be used in both internal and external environments to watch over and protect people, property, vehicles and valuables.

Maria Cappella, managing director at Vialtus Solutions, comments, "Networking is our core competence and CCTV over IP is a natural extension to our offering. Remote Manned Guard gives us the ability to offer customers a sophisticated surveillance system at a fraction of the cost of on-site guards or large scale, traditional CCTV systems."

Exhibiting on stand 205 at Multimodal 2008 from 22 to 24 April at the NEC Birmingham Hall 10, Vialtus Solutions gives visitors the opportunity to drive a Formula One Racing Car simulator courtesy of Honda Racing F1 Team. Vialtus provides Honda Racing F1 Team with a dedicated hosting solution and internet connection with a tailored voice and data package with proactive network monitoring to provide 100 per cent availability.
