5star Mobile Video: Feed for mobile video players

With 5star Mobile Video Engelmann Media presents a Multimedia-program that is able to convert films into mobile video clips. They can be loaded to iPod, PSP, Microsoft Zune, PocketPC, Nintendo DS or various mobile phones. Mobile video players are an amazing invention. They fit into any trouser pocket, are always at hand and when en route can play the private video of the kids as easily as the business-presentation in the corridors of an exhibition hall. The only problem is that most of the videos have a format that mobile players cannot handle. What is urgently missing is a program that helps with conversion and translates the existing films so that they can be played without difficulty on the latest devices.

5star Mobile Video is the perfect video converter for mobile devices. The program can read existing video files or take over films from a not copy-protected video DVD to store them in exactly the size and the format that is the most suitable for the own mobile device. Tim Stoepler: "All the user requires in order to watch his favourite films on the way is the source material, 5star Mobile Video and the strong determination to make a few mouse clicks."

Supported device: anything mobile.

5star Mobile Video supports all the big names of mobile video players. Videos can be prepared for Apple iPod as well as for PlayStationPortable, for Microsoft Zune, modern Pocket PCs, for Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advanced with respective hardware module, for mobile phones with multimedia support, for TomTom Mobile Navigator and other devices like Cliod CP2210 or iRiver PMP 120 and 140 - to mention just a few.

Cut videos, adjust films to the mobile display

5star Mobile Video has specialised in editing existing videos so that they are perfectly displayed on the mobile device. Memory space being a matter for portable video players, the program is able to cut the video material so that only the desired sequences are stored. Tim Stoepler: "According to the principle: cut the credits which only waste megabytes but are not watched on the way."

The display dimensions of mobile devices are in most cases completely different to those of the desktop screen with its classic 4:3-TV dimensions. New functions like "Stretch Borders" and "Adaptive Display" guarantee that the films are converted opposite to the original aspect ratio so that they completely fill in the display of the mobile device. The picture is neither distorted nor compressed which otherwise could result in the feared egghead-syndrome, nor are any black bars inserted. Instead, 5star Mobile Video fills empty areas with newly converted illustrations. The result is a video with full display size, even in case of widescreen and full screen (4:3) TV-films.

Along with it comes the AutoRip-function. It automatically recognizes the correct format of the source videos and detects whether these are in full screen mode 4:3 or in one of the widescreen formats like 16:9.

Video lovers who do not have enough memory space while en route rely on the new Fit-To-Technology. The program converts the movies so that they fit onto a memory card. It is also possible to split the movie onto several cards.

Furthermore, pre-defined quality settings like "Low", "Medium" and "High" are available. The user himself decides how much time he wants to invest in the creation of a video. It is obvious that if one can do with a low quality one will have the converted movie faster at hand.

What users know from MP3-music files is also possible for movies. One can store Meta-Information on movies, clips and spots and call it from Apple iPod, PlayStation Portable or devices with 3GPP2-videos while on the way.
