Bath, Spring 2007. The UK’s fastest growing sportslifestyle brand today launches The Association of Rugby Coaches at the Rec. Richard Callaway, Teamsports Marketing Manager at PUMA comments: “Following the successful launch of The Association of Football Coaches in September, we are very pleased to be able to also support The Association of Rugby Coaches. It gives us an opportunity to contribute directly to grassroots rugby. Anyone can join the scheme because it isn’t restricted to coaches with previous qualifications – including teachers, youth team coaches, managers and all those individuals coaching rugby.” In the first year each coach that joins the scheme will receive a free branded tracksuit, access to four coaching seminar events per year featuring PUMA Rugby players and coaches and regular information, updates and communication of coaching drills, activities and ideas. Lynsey Clifton, ARC Director of Coaching says: “As well as trying to develop the skill and technique of rugby players, all the games and practices that we will offer to members are designed to be enjoyable and to give variety to training. If young players enjoy training they will want to come back for more.” Mathew Tait, Newcastle & England centre wing continues: “The Association of Rugby Coaches is long overdue. This is a great coaching opportunity and the members will benefit greatly from working closely at the seminars with professional players and coaches. I’m looking forward to being involved.” Further coaching seminars will take place in the North East, North West and South East throughout the season. www.associationofrugbycoaches.com -Ends- The global sports brand PUMA successfully unites the influential factors from the world of sport, lifestyle and fashion.
