Violent crime, sexual harassment, rape is increasing holly place of universities, colleges. Sexual assault and rape against women is increased. On the ground of, past few weeks’ survey, we found that sexual assault and rape against women is increased by 40-50 percentages from few years back. Mr. David Francis CEO of SAPA or Sexual Assault Peer Advocacy focused on the sexual assault, he said “Sexual assault can be unwanted touching, threats of physical violence, comments or a teacher or other authority making you feel uncomfortable sexually. Sexual harassment is under border category of sexual assault, it includes in appropriate comment or teasing; People think assault would only include a physical attack”. Recently, Jim Corn, a Florida, conducted a survey with Prof. Ken, a professor in physiology at the university. The survey found that 80% women who respond, 70% have been raped during their four years at university and only 23% have been registered their complaints at police station. Most of the victims were blamed by their parents and think that it is their fault or they feeling shameful to dispose this or some of them are keep silence and this happened with them many times. The victim is get rejected by community and the sinner freely survive in the society with respect, But the victim hide herself from the society and society force to leave them lonely. From this survey we can say “Rape can be defined as sexual penetration, occurs against the victim’s wish, by force, threat or intimidation or where the victim is unable to consent because she is physically or mentally incapable to protest.” When girl say no to the boy then he want her to act as he wants her, so he force her, and that start with harassment and rape. The victim wants love and affection but what she gets, loneliness, everybody blame her like she has does something wrong. Many victims feel like they are done something wrong and the personal shame so they don’t report to police. According to Jim Corn’s survey report, “Many of them are under influence of alcohol or drugs at that time of rape. It is found that the perpetrator was using alcohol or drugs 90%-95% and the victim was using alcohol or drugs 70%-80% in case of rape.” This doesn’t mean that victim was had drugs so she/he said to rape. It is perpetrator’s fault. "Men need to take responsibility and own their actions and change their cultures." Jim corn said. FBI said “Don’t shame, please feel free to register complaint within 24 hrs of rape.” For additional information on the dating, lesbian etc. contact Marina John or visit www.freedatingservicesweb.com. |
