There’s no slowing them down and they won’t be pigeon-holed into retirement. Not only are they spending money on caravans and motorhomes (aka ‘Research Vehicles Into Spending The Kids Inheritance’), they are doing their best to get rid of the myth that they will quietly slip into ‘retirement’. Many of them however, want to continue to work. More than 60% of Australians plan to work after they ‘pull the pin’. Money was cited as only one reason why they wanted to keep working. Social networking was cited as being very important According to a recent report, of those mature age people not currently in the workforce, one third of all respondents, (and of those aged 60 years or under), a staggering 57% would be prepared to return to work if they were offered the right job.
