During Previous years various studies were done on erectile dysfunction and its causes. A study done in 2000-2001 conducted by a team of researchers found correlation between cigarette smoking and erectile dysfunction. 7684 men were involved in doing this research. The age group of men involved was 35-74 and they do not have any vascular disease. Various Questionnaires were used to assess the status of cigarette. The results of research showed that there is significant link between the number of cigarettes that men smoked and the likelihood they would experience erectile dysfunction. The main solution for getting rid of erectile dysfunction due to smoking is to prevent smoking. People should be told about side effects of smoking and what all problems take place due to it. Erectile Dysfunction is not a life threatening condition but it affects personal life of a person. Most of the relations brake due to erectile dysfunction and other problems associated with it. The conclusion of the study was that men who smoke cigarettes experience erectile dysfunction. The risk factor increases according to the consumption of cigarettes.
