The first apartment has been snapped up at a new development in Leicestershire – with a helping hand from a Government scheme.

Benfield Homes has just launched its Havelock Gardens development in Hadrian Road, Thurmaston, with prices starting at £127,000.

Interest is already proving high on the back of the opening of the showhome and the first property has now been reserved.

The first buyer is taking advantage of MyChoiceHomeBuy which allows them to complement a normal mortgage with up to 50 per cent of the funding on a very low interest rate through the scheme.
