Each year, from December to March, a single “village” in Dubai serves as a nesting ground for over 30 countries and 4 continents. The speedy 80-day long Global Village features the Dubai Shopping Festival and, as a world-class tourism destination, the Global Village brings together diverse customs and cultures. It covers a broad spectrum of activities including music, dances, arts and handicrafts, theatre, costumes and cuisine from many different countries. The 2008 edition is enjoying the performance of a well-known Hungarian circus and its famous “World on Ice” show. Amongst the various crafts stalls, we find a special corner that showcases the unique creativity of UAE women: The House of Talents. This year has also been a great event for one child: namely four year old Rashid Salah, who was entered into Global Village’s Mega Raffle by his father and was the lucky winner of a Lexus top-of-the-range vehicle as well as a grand cash prize!. So whether it’s the rollercoaster rides, the shopping or the raffles that drive you, almost everyone ends up in Food Court. Here, curious visitors and connoisseurs can enjoy dishes and flavours from across the globe in a relaxed environment. Global Village will have a permanent presence in the area by the end of this year at Tatweer’s Dubailand, which will not only guarantee year-round trade for businesses, but ensure over 1,000 jobs on-site as well as increased capital appreciation and rental returns in the area.
Sara Romera, analyst at propertyshowrooms.com agrees that “Although there are more residential developments being constructed, the supply of property in Dubai is not due to catch up with demand until 2009 at least. With constant innovation on the part of Dubai’s government to increase facilities on offer for residents and tourists alike, this country continues to provide great returns for property investors, as well an unrivalled holiday destination.” Propertyshowrooms.com & IPIN The International Property Investment Network (IPIN) operated by award-winning website Propertyshowrooms.com, sources outstanding property investment opportunities from around the world exclusively for its 20,000+ investor members.
