Mumbai - 25th April 08 :- The Maharastra Chamber of Housing Industry – MCHI’s Property 2008 the 12th Real Estate & Housing Finance Exhibition which was held at the Bandra Kurla Complex, MMRDA Grounds, from 17th to 20thApril 2008, drew curtains on Sunday the 20th of April with visitors coming in as late as in the evening , just so that they would not miss out on what the property developers had to offer. The Show had been inaugurated by Mr. Thomas Mathew, Managing Director, Life Insurance Corporation of India.

The Show had been inaugurated by Mr. Thomas Mathew, Managing Director, Life Insurance Corporation of India. Mr Mohan Deshmukh President MCHI said “It has been seen historically that, investments in real estate i.e. in Land or built up property has always proved to be the wisest and safest investments.” Mr. Dharmesh Jain, Hon. Secretary, MCHI said, “The visitors had a choice of developers and a wide range of homes and an array of amenities and facilities offered by individual developers”. “Surprisingly the present financial market situation was not a deterrent for the visitors” he added. Adding further Mr. Mayur Shah, Convenor Exhibitions & Hon. Joint Secretary, MCHI said, “Our internal survey displayed a healthy mix of visitors from those who had a monthly income of about Rs.20, 000 per month to those with an income of Rs.20 lakhs per annum” Given below is data on the MCHI exhibitions showing footfalls , flats booked in the past as also loans which had been sanctioned during the previous exhibition. Winner Banks: HDFC LTDAs many as a 100 + Real Estate Developers including Global Corporations and pan-India project-developers were there to share the platform and negotiate interpersonally with around 60, 000 visitors , displaying their properties ranging from 5 lacs to 5 crores. To state a few Mayfair Housing displayed 1RK flats & Lok Housing 1BHK flats in Virar pricing 10.36 lacs & 7 lacs respectively, Marathon Realty had 1BHK Flat in Badlapur pricing 7 lacs, Neel Siddhi had 2 BHK flats with a price range of 23 lacs, Sigrun Realties had properties worth 16.50 lacs and Soft Corner had plots in Nagpur pricing 4.9 lacs . In the Residential Property category, on display were be 1-5 BHK Flats, Duplex, Apartments, Penthouses, Bungalows, Row Houses and more. The Commercial Properties displayed Retail outlets in Malls, Multiplexes, Commercial Shops, Industrial Galas, Office Premises, Corporate Parks, IT Parks, and SEZ. The Financial Products section, around 15 HFI’s & Banks, offerred spot home loans at competitive rates as well as home loan insurance. The participants at this Mega Exhibition had displayed their properties from Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Nasik, Panchgani, Karjat, Neral, Sangli, Lonavala, Murbad etc. Lucky DrawA lucky draw function was also held at MCHI’s Property 2008, where the proud owners of flats booked a property from various Exhibitors in the Property 2007 Exhibition held at Bandra Kurla Complex from 25th – 28th October 2007 were chosen thorough a Lucky draw & the prizes such as 1BHK flats by Marathon & Lok Housing, A Row House by Soft Corner & Gift Vouchers worth I Lac, 60 Thousand, & 50 Thousand were offered by SIEMENS, WELL WORTH & PROLINE FITNESS respectively.
