THE RIDGE HOUSE TO HOST FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST  March 19, 2008 

Reno, Nevada –The Ridge House is pleased to announce their second French Toast Breakfast Fundraiser On May 3, 2008from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at The Ridge House offices at 900 West First Street, Suite 200 in Reno. 

“We hope to raise lots of money to support our basic operating expenses at our residential facilities,” said Steven Burt, Executive Director of the Ridge House.  “Our first French Toast breakfast was very successful, and this time we are offering tours of our men’s residential facility” he said.


The Ridge House program specializes in working with former criminal justice offenders with substance abuse problems and is open to any client seeking services.  The Ridge House not only operates five residential and two transitional facilities but also has the capacity to serve many more clients in its outpatient treatment program.   All Ridge House services are on a sliding fee scale in order to keep them affordable for all income levels. 

Ridge House supporters include U.S. Senator John Ensign, Nevada State Assemblywoman Sheila Leslie and First Lady Dawn Gibbons. 

 “The Ridge House has given many individuals the opportunity to transform into productive members of our community ,” Ensign said.  “This program has helped individuals who would usually be a burden or threat to our community and instead, made them into responsible members of society.” 

The Ridge House is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit social service organization. Our programs are designed to change the behavior of criminal justice offenders, prevent future offending and make our communities safe.  The goal of The Ridge House is to reduce future recidivism by empowering former offenders.  Since 1981 The Ridge House has been helping the former offender become restored socially, spiritually and emotionally. We exist to help those serious about changing their lives.
