NEW YORK, March 4 -- Grab onto your gris-gris bags, the Abstract Four, an eclectic musical unit, will cast their hoodoo on 14th Street as they make their first appearance at Otto's Shrunken Head (www.ottosshrunkenhead.com) on Friday, March 14, at 8 p.m. Otto's Shrunken Head is located at 538 East 14th St. There is no admission price.     The Abstract Four is a group of musical veterans gathered from different bands performing in the New York area. Tony Sokol, the main songwriter, bassist and vocalist, played guitar and sang with Queer Jesus, The Others, Busted Chops and 4Q, and did bass duties in Head First and the Get Bent Quartet. He wrote, and performed with Joe and Rob, the rock opera "AssassiNation: We Killed JFK" and also wrote the stage show and wrote and performed the music to Vampyr Theatre, which ran in New York City from 1992 to1997 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Commedia_Del_Sangue:_Vampyr_Theatre).     Keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter Joseph Bohmer played in The Depressions, Transbluesion and Stir Fried. Guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Rob DeGeorge played in the Whatch, Electric Mud, One Hand Clapping, Old Man Zeke and His Travelin' Freakshow, and Son of Sam and His Electric Spaceman Band. And veteran drummer George Roberts played with Wilbur Walton and the James Gang, Kasenetz and Katz (the production team notoriously responsible for such memorable Bubble Gum hits as "Yummy Yummy"), The K&K Super Cirkus, Clarence Carter, Para Band, the Voodoo Rhythm Kings, Who We, and Axiom Addicts.     The Abstract Four makes music that will blow your ass and shake your mind -- music that will inspire you to jump turnstiles, evade taxes, and throw your vote away on third-party candidates. Four veteran musicians from diverse stylistic backgrounds mix their sounds on a wide palette to perform rock operas, nihilist spirituals, pro-drug love songs, romantic odes to suicide, and other unlikely topics -- with the occasional guest singer. Don't look. Listen.    You can hear them at: http://www.deathoftheparty.net or http://www.myspace.com/theabstract4     CONTACT Tina Colombo, Sangue Ettola Productions, at 212-726-1821.
