Highly Acclaimed Independent Music Artist Releases Much Anticipated Debut Album ‘Welcome to the Danger Show’ LOS ANGELES — The passion and dedication Marc M. Cogman has poured into his music for the past 10 years of his life have led to a moment that prompts much anticipation. It is the moment he will celebrate the debut of his first solo album, Welcome to the Danger Show, an album that is so good it has gained the support of many people in the industry and has created such a buzz that it is being widely talked about. Not only does this record raise the bar for the average indie-artist, Cogman pushes the envelope by holding his release party at a major recording studio where more hits and Grammy award winning music is made than at any other studio in the world. The record release party will be held at the Record Plant Recording Studios in Hollywood, California on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 and is sure to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend. Cogman will be accompanied by a 12-piece band in a live, in-studio performance that introduces songs from the CD. Listen to songs from Welcome to the Danger Show at www.marcmcogman.com and www.myspace.com/welcometothedangershow, and check out Cogman’s weekly video podcasts on iTunes. Since the age of 15, Cogman has had an obsession with music. He has been a member in four bands, attended the highly esteemed Berklee College of Music, plays acoustic and electric guitar, hand percussion, glockenspiel, piano, and harmonica and has found inspiration by listening to artists and groups such as Wilco, Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, Aimee Mann, Elliott Smith and Mirah. All of these elements have led to a successful rendering of an amazing album. Welcome to the Danger Show examines the nature of risk in the precarious undertaking of being an artist occupied in a damaging relationship where erratic emotions and infidelity are involved. Much of the inspiration for the album stems from a relationship that didn’t work out in a classic case of unrequited love. This album delivers powerful songs with incredible lyrics that prove Cogman’s ability as a recording artist. |
