New Emerging and Underground Music Festival for Cardiff and South Wales
Festival 24 is the brand new music festival set to takeover Cardiff City Centre & Cardiff Bay music venues over two days on 7th & 8th September 2007.
Festival 24 is a festival based along the lines of the already established Camden Crawl & Great Escape Festival in Brighton which are held annually.
The Best in Welsh and some UK wide emerging artists will provide the entertainment over the two days/nights. The focus is on various genres ranging from Rock to indie and electronica to acoustic.
There will be in the region of some 60 plus bands playing at various venues so offering the ticket holders a wide variety and choice of music.
Festival 24 is the brainchild of James Regan who has a strong passion for underground talent and he has already pushed this talent in Cardiff & London and he wants to open up more doors for artists who have the talent and ability to go further in the industry.
James Regan of Festival 24 says: "Our aim is that Festival 24 will become to Cardiff what The Great Escape has become to Brighton. We're aiming directly at a Welsh audience who I think will make up a large amount of those attending - but everyone is welcome.”
“Our aim is to give fans the best possible upcoming talent in music, over the two days and giving the fans the chance to choose who they watch at any of the venues. There are no limitations if they want to watch an act at the Point in Cardiff Bay they can, then if the next act they like is at Cardiff’s Barfly then off they go. We will bring great music that deserves to be heard”
“We are also in discussions with a few Radio Stations to host/sponsor the event to further enhance its appeal and this will be a fantastic opportunity for emerging talent and music in Wales”
Tickets for the event will be on sale from May and the general public can purchase either a day Pass or a Weekend pass that will give them unlimited access at any venue participating.
We are also open for artists to submit their music to Festival 24 to be considered for playing, they should go to Festival 24s website at www.festival24.co.uk
