Dead Planet Records / Intervurt - Translucent EP Release date January 28th 2008 Dead Planet Records is a new South London based independent record label set up by David Wood and Matthew Wood, aka DJ Woody the man responsible for running New Cross’s legendary Bubblegum club and promoting early shows for the likes of the Klaxons, Razorlight, Bloc Party and Athlete. After scouring the country Dead Planet recently signed their first act, the hard hitting alternative/rock band INTERVURT described by XFMs John Kennedy as ‘one of the best young live acts on the scene at present.’ INTERVURT are 'Natural Born Killers with high-octane music that contains a reckless menace, both vicious and vulnerable in equal measures. Like Natural Born Killers, they’re prepared to do whatever it takes!’ Notion Magazine London based INTERVURT have steadily built a reputation of being a great live act who cross the attitude and melody of the Killers with the richness and darkness of Depeche Mode. It is this which makes them hard to pigeon hole and their outstanding live shows that solidify their sound. "Translucent" along with all 3 other tracks contained on the band’s debut EP is a brilliant calling card for anyone looking for something new and different to get their teeth into.
