Fully-integrated, state-of-the-art technology will enable medical practices to seamlessly process credit card transactions from within their ADS system, replacing traditional stand alone systems. This technology not only addresses the shift to private pay revenue but also delivers productivity and work flow efficiencies. Dallas, TX and Maywood, NJ – January 11, 2007 – TransFirst Health Services, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of TransFirst Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of credit card processing services and payment enabling technologies, and Advanced Data Systems Corporation, a leading provider of Practice Management systems serving over 35,000 physicians, today announced a partnership that will provide Advanced Data Systems ("ADS") customers with fully integrated payment processing capabilities. The new service linking the TransFirst Transaction Central™ system to the practice's ADS system dramatically improves on traditional stand alone POS systems through efficiency in handling co-pay and post-adjudication payment from patients. Staff in the physician's office can process credit card and ACH payments without leaving the ADS system realizing productivity and work flow gains from full integration. The new service combines TransFirst's processing capabilities for credit card and ACH, manual and automatic recurring payments, and custom reports with the ADS practice management system. Utilizing one system, ADS customer functionality includes patient information, financial ledger, reporting, scheduling, EDI, billing, prescriptions, EMR and now credit card and ACH payment processing. Physician staff will have access to credit card and ACH payment processing anywhere within the ADS system. The payment response from TransFirst will post directly into the ADS system eliminating the need for redundant data entry. "The growing trend in healthcare shifting financial responsibility from third parties to patients has resulted in increased A/R days for many practices. Historically practices have focused their effort towards third party collection. ADS has recognized this shift and have once again provided our customers with the tools for increased productivity and cash flow," explains David Barzillai, ADS President. "At ADS we continually listen to our customer base and monitor industry changes allowing us to deliver the most technically advanced user friendly system in the market." Marc Klar, ADS Director of Marketing states, "We heard the gripe and now we offer the swipe! Physicians can now accept credit cards and swipe directly into the ADS system at the front desk. In the back office, staff can easily select credit card or ACH information securely stored in Transaction Central system and accessed through the ADS system OR enter new card information into a data entry screen for card-not-present transactions. Our system will put money in the practice's pockets faster and addresses every current means for payment acceptance and posting in their busy practices." Christy Corey, President for TransFirst'S Health Services division explains, "This partnership is another advance in the healthcare market between two technology firms delivering a powerful solution to address the growing trend of private pay. Currently most practices utilize stand alone systems to process the patient pay portion. These systems are neither efficient nor cost effective in processing patient payments. Healthcare has been lagging in certain segments of technology especially in the aspect of payment processing. Business owners in food or home improvement industries can process payments from consumers via a fully integrated system yet the most advanced healthcare system is the world still utilizes stand alone systems. We believe our newly formed partnership with ADS addresses this situation." About Advanced Data Systems Corp About TransFirst |
