One in four NHS Trusts are failing to achieve hygiene standards that were put in place to combat superbugs such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile (C. diff), a Health Commission report recently found.
The cleaning solution Virusolve+, available from M.A.S. Medical, leads the way in the fight against such infections, thanks to its ability to penetrate and destroy the target cell’s ribonucleic acid (RNA); rendering it unable to reproduce and preventing its ability to spread.
Virusolve+ is also capable of killing other infections such as hepatitis B and C and Avian Flu and is clinically proven to destroy almost all microbials in both clean and dirty conditions. Despite its power, Virusolve+ is safe to use, as it is non-hazardous at operational dilutions and will not cause skin irritation. Virusolve+ adapts well to a working healthcare environment as it does not require prior surface cleaning; saving time and money. It is also versatile as it can be used as a non-rinse disinfectant on walls, floors, ceilings and fittings, as a pre-cleaner for medical and surgical instruments, and as a cleaner for body fluid spillages. John Coe, Director of M.A.S. Medical, said: “Hospital infections cannot be ignored; costing lives and the NHS approximately £1 billion annually. Virusolve+ is highly effective in destroying superbugs - effective at room temperature in less than a minute and safe for staff to use; it is a practical way of tackling cross infection.”
