Eczema patients beware of fragrant products notes allergies author.

A distributor of parabens-free moisturizer for people with sensitive skin published educational information in a recent article noting that fragrance-based products may cause allergic reactions among eczema patients.  The article cites study results published in Contact Dermatitis medical journal. John Gardiner, owner of Exederm, writes that patients tested had an allergic reaction to at least one of several fragrance ingredients tested.  “Researchers found that the widespread use of fragrance-containing products is probably the most important reason for the high impact of fragrance allergy among eczema and contact dermatitis sufferers,” reports Gardiner.  To read the educational article, visit http://ezinearticles.com/?Fragrances-In-Skincare-Products-Causing-Eczema&id=1178088. In his article, Gardiner recommends avoiding five chemical ingredients in skin products.  These include color additives, fragrance or perfumes, paraben preservatives, SLS, and lanolin oil.
Gardiner is a long-standing veteran of the pharmaceutical and personal care industries.
