So the BBC bring back TOTP2. Why bother? When all they show are the same performances seen loads of times before.
Look at the fiasco of the TOTP the final countdown broadcast 30th July 2006 showing the same performances.
There are far better unseen since first transmission performances and promo video's (made by the BBC especially for TOTP) in the late 1960's to the mid 1970's that lie in the archive gathering dust.
Is it too much to ask to see something different for a change.
This is one of the reasons I started an online petition 2 weeks before the BBC announcement that they were axing TOTP http://www.petitiononline.com/gjbslade/
Last weeks this weeks and next weeks shows all show the viewers the same footage that has been seen loads of times before, the only thing new about this series appears to be the 16 new performances that were filmed 14/15th September, Will we ever get to see something "NEW" regarding the archive footage? I doubt it even though the BBC and the TOTP2 production team know there are hundreds of performances that DO exist it's time we seen them. |
