MAN JUMPS INTO SEA ON CRUISE ! |

Bhimayya, a 30 year-old man who travelling back from the Andaman islands to Chennai in a ship,reportedly jumped off the deck into the Bay of Bengal midway during the jouney.This incident occurred on January 12 and is was reported to the Chennai police after the passengership reached the City on Tuesday. According to the police,Bhimayya was a resient of Nellore, in Andhra Pradesh, where he was working in a dairy farm.He was married to Chandrakala and the couple had two children. The four of them weretravelling together on the ship to Chennai. Last Friday, Bhimayya went alone to the upper deck and in frontof his co-passengers,he jumped off the shipinto the sea. The passengers who witnessed the incident immediately informed the captain of the ship.The vessel was stopped and a search operation was conducted for three hours. However,the ship's crew failed to trace Bhimayya. " It looks like a case of suicide.He could be dead by now because it is difficult to survive in the sea without a life jacket," noted the police. According to the police, Bhimayya often used to quarrel with his wife because he was suspicious of her. They had left for the Andamans in the first week of January hoping to bring back the harmony in their lives, but Bhimayya decided to end his life while they were returning home from the tour. The police ruled out foul play in the incident and said that they are curently probing into the incident. |
