02 June 2008: London/Poprad: RTI, Radio Tatras International, the leading interactive pan-European English/Slovak radio station, is proud to announce that Nicola Šerfelová has topped the poll as the listeners Favourite Programme 2008.WINNER Nicola Šerfelová – presenter of the lunchtime weekday show No. 2 Johnny Reece – presenter and producer of the twice-weekly Album Zone (RTI-U No. 3 Eric Wiltsher – presenter/producer of the weekly Let’s Connect Europe show from Poprad No. 4 Chris Reardon – presenter of United Kingdom Talk and Beatmatch (RTI – UK) No. 5 Dusan Kubáň – presenter of the RTI Breakfast show from Poprad No. 6 Pandora – presenter of Pandoras Rock Box from Berkshire (RTI-UK) No. 6 Larry London – Host of Border Crossings from Washington DC (USA) No. 8 Zbyňo Džadoň – presenter of the weekday RTI-SK Drive show No. 9 Michael Allen, Disco Hound – Presenter of Motown Moments (RTI-UK) No. 10 Pako and Frederik – DJs of weekly dance show from Amsterdam (RTI-UK)Voting was open to all listeners for a two-month period using the Blogspot polling plug-in Jan Telensky, Managing Director RTI, said, “May I first start by congratulating Nicola on winning the 2008 Favourite Programme on RTI, Nicola is our newest DJ and she has demonstrated how a modern interactive radio presenter should be.“This result also clearly shows that younger, or younger in the mind, Slovak listeners are very keen to embrace the program selection on offer from RTI as well as citizens from all over Europe and beyond.“Premier Robert Fico once said that the Slovak Republic needed to have a big voice in Europe and now Slovakia has one – RTI. However, RTI is also a service that embraces all European citizens wherever they may be.“RTI has pioneered the way for bi-lingual radio across Europe and added another dimension to interactive radio.
