The Angel Film Festival is pleased to announce its shortlist for its upcoming four Sundays of showings. 50 short films have been selected from an amazing 600 submissions, to be shown in three pubs across Islington. The final 50 comprise an eclectic mix of genres and methods, ranging from up-and-coming film-makers making their film festival debuts to veterans of the short film scene.

The final 50 comprise an eclectic mix of genres and methods, ranging from up-and-coming film-makers making their film festival debuts to veterans of the short film scene. http://www.angelfilmfestival.org/ The Festival is supported by the local community, with three well-known Islington pubs hosting each event. The venues and dates are: July 30th: The Garden, 2-5pm, 179 Upper Street August 6th: Clockwork, 2-5pm, 96 Pentonville Road August 13th: The King’s Head, 2-5pm, 115 Upper Street All showings will be informal and free to enter, in order to give time to the pleasurable pursuit of watching films. Many of the film-makers will be present and happy to take questions from the public. In addition, on August 20th, a final awards ceremony will take place at Vue cinemas N1. The films to be shown on this Sunday will be decided by public vote throughout the prior few weeks of the Festival.
