| MIG has exclusively secured a ‘significant’ permission based email database of some 50m pan European records from an on-going and current consolidation of 14,000 sources of data. It includes over 20m UK consumer email addresses from on-line purchasing sources and over 5m businesses addresses largely obtained from permission registrations from exhibitions and conferences and so includes job titles and purchasing responsibilities. Initially, only clients of MIG will have access to the data although this is being built as an on-line tool ‘Target Prospector’ which is scheduled for launch later in the year with the web based Intelligent Marketing platform. Existing clients of MIG will benefit from special prices and in some cases FREE email data. MIG has also announced that it will match any contract price for any business wishing to switch to this more inclusive solution. Of particular interest to multi-channel consumer facing businesses is the launch of ‘Email Exchange’ which will enable them to append or verify an email address to existing customer records but also via a sophisticated customer profiling solution, acquire new customer data and email addresses to match those of existing clients in a permission based environment on a data swap basis. Until now appending email addresses has been an expensive process with charges up to 95p per record but under the new service licence holders of MIG’s Intelligent Marketing platform and the email tool e-Msg will be able to acquire email addresses for a fraction of the market rate in order that MIG customers can maximise their email databases and minimise their communication costs.MIG has been steadily building its email capability and has been investing heavily in servers and IT infrastructure around the country to handle large and 'Intelligent' broadcasts around the clock and to add valuable campaign data and subsequently customer knowledge.Commenting on the news Rob Bielby CEO at MIG said," We have been working very hard over recent years and months to add solutions and components to our Intelligent marketing platform to provide a full end to end digital marketing platform that can be used by the clients and/or their agencies. Email and mobile data has been a missing link and this will put us ahead of any other solution in the UK. Our clients have been pushing for e-append services and email data but to date we have not been happy with the 3rd party solutions we have tried. This gives us full visibility and provenance over a significant volume or data and with the solutions we can add, the IM platform now becomes very special indeed." |
