The commercial training arm of the British Red Cross has signed up to MIG’s Intelligent Marketing platform to employ digital marketing techniques to increase sales of their nationwide first aid training courses.   The commercial training arm delivers courses at over 170 centres and in company premises for more than 120,000 people per annum, representing a significant part of the UK's work force.  It intends to reduce operational costs by extended use of digital communications, including digital brochures, email and text messages through the platform, which will integrate with its established CRM tool Consensus.  In a strategic move away from traditional and reactive marketing to a more proactive approach the Red Cross hope to build an on-going relationship with both businesses and delegates. Anne McColl, General Manager Red Cross Commercial Training said, "We see both cost savings and increased intelligence from using digital marketing.  We have invested significant amounts in the past in CRM solutions and we needed the solutions and expertise from MIG to help deliver a cohesive marketing programme.  MIG also identified we already had much of the capability to deliver this approach within our legacy systems and they have helped to show us the way forward as part of an initial consultancy project." Conrad Morris Chief Operating Officer at MIG is leading the project and actively working with the team at Red Cross to develop the capability in house.  He said, "This is a classic case where a business can know all of its customers, both potential and actual, and tailor programmes to meet their varying training needs." The Marketing Innovation Group (MIG) is an award-winning digital direct marketing organisation, offering a unique 'Customer Farming' multi-channel strategy, intelligent data and communications solutions using its own software, the 'Intelligent Marketing' toolkit.  Their unique solutions are currently benefiting the likes of Avon, Comet, Debenhams, GemsTV, House of Fraser, Ideal Shopping Direct, London Chamber of Commerce, M and M Direct, Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Nectar, Scotts of Stow, Stylo plc, The Pier, United Utilities and Woolworths.  For more information on the Marketing Innovation Group please visit www.m-i-g.com, or contact Conrad Morris by phone on 01565 653000 or 07930 479 537, email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it British Red Cross Commercial Training is a leading provider of First Aid and Health and Safety training with over 25 years experience in the market.  More than 800 courses are offered every month at over 170 venues throughout the UK, as well as “in-company” courses.  This means more than 120,000 people benefit every year from this vital training.  After operating costs are deducted all money raised through training goes to fund the British Red Cross’ humanitarian work.
