Eastbourne cat scoops top prize in pet insurance company Pet Protect competition.
Judith and David Evans have won a year's supply of cat food for their cat, Blackie, in a competition run by pet insurance company Pet Protect. Judith had taken Blackie to St Anne's Veterinary Practice in Eastbourne, after Blackie had a nasty scratch from fighting. Judith commented 'I picked up a number of pet insurance leaflets as I thought I should take some precaution in case Blackie got into any more fights. I had a number of cat insurance quotes from different companies and decided to insure Blackie with Pet Protect. Their leaflet also featured the competition to win a years' supply of pet food, which I completed and sent off. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I heard that Blackie had won!' To buy their year's supply of pet food, Judith and Blackie were presented with £200 in Pets at Home vouchers at the St Anne's Surgery, and a further £20 worth of pet food to last until they could get to the store. Their vet Jim Dash was present to witness the presentation. He commented, "This could not have gone to a nicer or more deserving couple. They obtained Blackie just over a year ago from a rescue centre in Seaford. I am a strong believer in the concept of pet insurance, and it is great to see a proactive company rewarding responsible pet owners. Pet Protect offers quality pet insurance products offering lifelong cover for your pets, plus dog and cat care information from a trusted pet specialist insurance provider. |
