Clarkson Register CD: Standard Edition contains details of cargo ships over 5,000 dwt (and specialised tankers over 1,000 dwt), divided into 9 main registers and 74 sub-registers. These include: Tankers, Bulk carriers, Combined carriers, Containerships, Ro-Ro, Multipurpose, Reefers, Chemical Tankers, Offshore support and Gas vessels.

These include: Tankers, Bulk carriers, Combined carriers, Containerships, Ro-Ro, Multipurpose, Reefers, Chemical Tankers, Offshore support and Gas vessels. Up to 50 fields of data about each ship, with many more technical and commercial details also included in the "extra" field. "Click button" analysis functions allow users to extract a list of ships with specific features, produce a size/age table and export or print reports. A text field is provided for user notes and 10 user defined fields of data per ship. This is carried over when the database is updated, even if the ship changes name, allowing the system to be used for record keeping. The fast Delphi database engine has a "push button" front end to make data extraction and analysis quick and easy. Details screens are custom designed for each ship type to make reference easy.
