carryPAL helps shoppers and the environment

Product Innovation company Carno Limited launches carryPAL, a comfortable handle to help shoppers:

  • alleviate hand and finger pain when carrying one or more shopping bags at a time,
  • reduce the number of bags used,
  • reuse carrier bags,
  • keep multiple shopping bags together when placing them down.

Recent user trials have shown that shoppers using carryPAL fill their bags fuller and remember to take them back to the store on subsequent visits. Not only is carryPAL useful to those walking or travelling on public transport but car users have found it a valuable tool for keeping their shopping together when transporting them from the supermarket.

carryPAL can also be made from recycled plastic, putting the product in line with the government, plastics and retail industry policy of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Carno Director Oliver Abrahams said:

“The response we’ve had from the public is very encouraging from an environmental point of view. Using carrier bags more efficiently and reusing them makes sense and the fact that we can help people do this whilst making their journey home more comfortable is a real benefit.”
